Malware
There is a despicable trend that is
becoming more and more
common wherein the browser settings of web surfers are being hijacked
forcibly
by malicious web sites and software which modifies your default start
and
search pages. Internet shortcuts can be added to your
favorite’s folder without
asking you. The hacker wants to force you to visit a web site of the
hijacker's
choice so that they can inflate their web site's traffic for higher
advertising
revenues. What we really need is anti spyware adware
software. Then there
are those crooks that use malware (by my definition) to steal all of
your
important information (financial, etc) through a process called
keystroke
logging. Ever hear of phishing? It’s another way to
fraudulently obtain your
personal information. Yes the best adware spyware remover will also
need to
address internet identity theft. It must include phishing capability
(to guard
against identity theft).
Internet Security Issue
This malicious software problem has
been growing since 1996.
I am almost afraid to ask what will be next. Internet security problems
have
grown as fast as the internet. There are products to guard against
these
problems. They really fall into two classes: prevention and removal.
The
prevention class would have to offer the following: the best anti
spyware
software, anti adware features, as well as anti phishing capability.
There is
no way to stop 100% of these problems. But we can certainly improve our
odds
with the correct removal spyware tool.
The second class would be the healing, removing, and fixing
any damage that may
have been done by any infection of any kind. You will need the best
anti
spyware software.
You will need software for adware spyware removal, anti
phishing (protecting
your identity, malware remover. This sounds like quite a list. But you
will
find packages that will bundle multiple capabilities into one product.
You will
also find a lot do advertising boasting such as the best anti spyware
software
or free spyware removal. Don't buy your software based on
this. Look at
the independent test from such labs as CNET, PC Magazine and PC World.
Talk to
your friends or associates at work to see what thier experience has
been with
various products. But be sure their environment is similar to yours. If
they
only use the home computer for word processing and you are a heavy
internet
surfer, this is not the person to talk with.
